Name: Buckpaw
Age: 7
Gender: Female
Clan: Ashclan
Rank: Apprentice
Appearance: Just like certain male deer, Buckpaw's fur is primarily brown, fading to black and/or red in some places. Her throat, belly and paws are white, as well as part of the underside of her tail. Her eyes are a deep brown, matching parts of her fur. Interestingly, her body is quite sturdy for such a young cat, enabling her to take some hits as well as causing others to be further confused about her gender.
Personality: Buckpaw is quite the laid back individual, not really minding other cats initially thinking she's a male, or much at all, actually. There is, however, such as thing as getting too relaxed, and this young she-cat has come frustratingly close to crossing that line a handful of times. On the one hand, this gives her a calm mind and makes her practically impervious to torment. On the other hand, her motivation for training could stand to be a little higher, and at times she's just plain lazy.
If someone frail is tormented and/or otherwise attacked, however, Buckpaw's calm demeanor does a complete turn into an hissing rage. As it is hard for her to think rationally in this state, she will snap at anyone whom she believes to be standing between her and the safety of the victim. As she is more of a hazard than a guardian in this state, she puts whatever motivation she can get into lowering this raging desire to protect to a more manageable level.
History: Buckkit was the first born of a litter consisting of her and her brother, the white and grey Birchkit. Despite being a female, Buckkit was named after her deer-like coat, as well as her seemingly tough body. Her brother, however, was not quite as fortunate. He was an energetic soul, something his teeny frame was unable to match. As such, he became a frequent teasing victim of the other kits. Still, he and Buckkit played and trained together as they anticipated the day they would become apprentices. However, Birchkit would often train recklessly, and push himself to unreasonable limits.
One night Birchkit managed to use his small size to sneak away from the den. He wanted to train alone, to go beyond just being a runt. He hadn't been out for long, though, before the sentry noticed him and called out to him, none of them noticing the adder that had crept up behind him before it was too late. Being a kit, the adder's venom got to him too quickly for the medicine cat to arrive, much less do something. Having been fast asleep, Buckkit had remained ignorant to this tragedy until she woke up, and upon learing about it she got expectedly devastated. However, no matter how much she wanted to, she couldn't place all her blame on the snake. Her brother must have ventured out because of his complex, after all. As such, upon becoming an apprentice, Buckpaw swore that she as a warrior not only would protect bodies from attacks, but also minds.
