Name: Gorsestar
Age: 50 moons
Gender: Male
Clan: AshClan
Rank: Leader
Appearance: A large, tall and imposing dark gray tabby with white tipped paws and a slash of white across his face and chest. Gorsestar has lively light green eyes and long whiskers. He is thickly built, especially around the shoulders. His shoulders and haunches are finely scarred from battle, and a nick is taken out of his right ear. He speaks with a low, imposing growl, and has sharp crooked teeth.
Personality: The kits of AshClan are often quite terrified of their leader at first sight. It is up to their mothers to let them know that this cat is on their side, upon which many of them declare that they want to grow up to be big and strong like Gorsestar. He has quite the imposing appearance, and the personality to match. Gorsestar is full of hot burning passion which he keeps mostly tucked under his tail. Or at least, that's where the rumors say he keeps his temper, as his tail is always twitching at gatherings when the other leaders speak. He's got quite the bragging streak and always makes it a point to mention how many apprentices have become warriors, how many kits have been born, how much prey has been caught and how many scraps with foxes won. Gorsestar never sits back and lets his clan do the work, for all his bragging. He participates in every dawn patrol, especially when surveying the border with SnowClan. He's faced enough of their bloodlust to risk an unexpected attack, and its hard to sneak between his paws. However, AshClan thrives on friendliness. While he is curt and gruff, Gorsestar has a soft side and hates to see any cat suffer. He would rather work twice as hard than let even an apprentice suffer through a thorn in their paw. Cats in other clans are not excluded from his aggressive charity.
History: Born with a hothead and strong paws, Gorsestar's ambition was always to be a leader. He worked hard for his position, and showed tireless energy and an ability to follow orders. It was at his request that he was made deputy of AshClan, and when their leader finally died in battle, Gorsestar was pleased to take over and change things around the clan. His main priority was keeping his clan safe and well-fed and happy. While the warriors are far from overworked and the elders relax in peace, Gorsestar and his deputy are expected to pick up the slack wherever it may be. Gorsestar has a history of criticizing other clan leaders for seeking battle, especially SnowClan, which AshClan holds a dark history with. Having offered them hunting assistance in the past, Gorsestar finds it unacceptable that, unable to accept charity due to pride, SnowClan time and time again launches attacks on their territory. Minimizing these struggles has always been his main focus.
