Name: Eelpatch
Age: 17 Moons as of 6/29/2018 (Date of Birth: February 5th, 2017)
Gender: She-cat
Clan: FogClan
Rank: Warrior
Appearance: She is a tortoiseshell cat with brown patches on her left front leg, ears, back and the top of her snout. She also has a "red" spot on her right eye, and an almost black nose. Her eyes are a lighter green with yellow flecks in them.
Her features are elongated and kind of boxy, that when combined with her long tail make her look similar to an eel. Not similar enough to an eel that she looks really creepy or is unidentifiable as a cat, but enough to where her parents decided that "Eelkit" would be a good name for her. She has several scars, one that runs across the fur on top of her nose, two or three on her tail, one on her left flank and one on her right that stretches over the first third of her side.
Personality: While good-hearted cat at her core, she gets annoyed by others easily and often so she has become very picky about the cats she talks to so that she doesn't end up trying to claw their ears off mid-conversation. She loves kits, and while not planning to ever have any of her own, she hates having to yell or raise her voice at them. Eelpatch also tends to be very assertive and bossy to other cats. When there is an intruder in the place she is living, she will simply command them to leave with a blunt "Out" and a stern glare.
She doesn't think that she's better than most other cats, contrary to what some cats might believe she thinks about herself, she just has an easier time making decisions and finding the flaws in plans (in both her own and ones that others come up with) so she tends to be more concise with her reactions. She hates mess, and keeps her nest and the rest of her belongings as clean as living in the wild will allow them to be.
She is also known (much to her chagrin) as the kind of cat who is willing to fight for any reason, especially if that reason could give her some perceived glory. This is mostly left over from her early- and mid-apprenticeship, when she’d on more than one occasion snuck out with other FogClan apprentices to try and earn favor with their clan (and hopefully also an early Warrior Ceremony) by provoking battles with whatever non-FogClan, non-Medicine Cat cats they could find. She has since realized how incredibly mouse-brained the whole idea of their schemes were and heavily avoids conflict whenever she can help it now. Winning a fight doesn’t actually count if you went out looking for one in the first place, as far as Eelpatch is concerned.
History: Eelpatch was born to Tawnystream and Rippleclaw of FogClan. When she was a kit she would usually get into fights with the other kits, nothing ever serious enough to leave scars or have anyone spend the night in the Medicine Den, but it happened frequently enough that at one point it almost threatened her chances of being allowed to become an apprentice at the same time as other kits her age. It was always because either the other kit didn't like something she said or thought she was being too bossy, or that the other kit had frustrated Eelkit enough that she'd been unable to keep calm anymore.
She eventually did become an apprentice though, and her mentor- a compassionate blue-grey tom named Mist-tail- immediately began to teach her how to control herself enough to either be selective enough to avoid fights or to be patient enough to endure cats that annoyed her, along with the regular hunting and fighting, of course. Mist-tail also provided emotional support to the young tortie, letting her vent to him or just ramble on about whatever was distracting her from her duties, and giving her advice when she asked for it.
During her apprenticeship, she was involved in many skirmishes, both while on official patrols and ones that herself and a few other apprentices got into when they tried to “Be like real warriors”, earning Eelpaw a few scars. Other than that, her apprenticeship went smoothly, and when she was 13 moons old she earned her warrior name: Eelpatch, for the patches on her pelt. The day after she had her warrior ceremony, her father, Rippleclaw, retired to the elder's den.
Three moons after Eelpatch was granted her warrior name, Mist-tail went out on a patrol to drive a badger out of their territory. The badger fought back- y'know, as you'd likely expect- and when the dust settled, he was nowhere to be found. Mist-tail wasn't among the wounded, he wasn't one of the one or two cats who'd died on the patrol, and he didn't come back to camp. He was declared dead after four sunrises of searching, which left Eelpatch understandably broken up about the whole ordeal. Since his disappearance and presumed death, she spends more of her time out of the camp than in it.
Misc. OOC Notes: I previously used this character on a now-dead Discord-based Warriors Roleplay. If this site is dead, too, I'll likely be playing as her on whatever not-dead site I try next.
